This page is short because the site collects very little.

What is collected

What you type into the contact form yourself: your name, company name, type of business, email address or WhatsApp number, and the content of your message — and, if you use the chat, the data described under "Chat on this site". Nothing else is asked for.

Where it goes

The form contents are sent as an email to my inbox through an email service provider. That data is used only to reply to you. It is not sold, not traded, and not shared with anyone else for marketing.

How long it is kept

This site has no database — form submissions are not stored on the site server at all. Form submissions remain only as an email in my inbox, for as long as our conversation is still relevant. Chat conversations are stored separately on the helpdesk server; how long they are kept is explained under "Chat on this site".

Cookies

This site uses one Laravel session cookie to protect the form against forged submissions. It disappears when you close your browser and is not used to track you. If you use the chat, your browser also stores one visitor token in localStorage; what it is and how to remove it are explained under "Chat on this site".

Visitor statistics

This site runs no visitor analytics service at all. There is no Google Analytics and no third-party tracking script.

Chat on this site

The chat window in the bottom corner of the screen runs on my own helpdesk server. When you use the chat, what is sent to that server is the name and email address you enter before the chat starts (both are required), the content of your messages, and the address of the page on this site you are viewing. If you use them, the words you type into the help-article search box, your star rating and its comment after a chat ends, and any message you leave while I am offline are sent as well.

The chat widget is loaded from that server on every page, even if you never open the chat. Like any web server, the helpdesk server therefore receives your IP address and browser type. Once you have started a chat, the widget also sends the address of the page you are viewing each time you open a page on this site, so that your conversation can continue.

Chat data is used only to answer your questions. If you ask for a transcript, a copy of the conversation is sent to the email address you entered.

Conversations are stored on the helpdesk server chat.haritjahjo.com, which I run myself, not on a third-party chat service. Chat history is kept for 12 months after the last message in that conversation.

Once you start a chat, your browser stores one visitor token in localStorage (not a cookie) so the conversation is not lost when you move between pages. To remove it, clear the site data for haritjahjo.com in your browser settings. After that, the widget no longer recognises your earlier conversation.

You may ask me to delete your entire chat history at any time. Send that request through the contact form on the front page, mention the email address you used in the chat, and I will delete it.

Your rights

You may ask me to delete your email and the whole conversation at any time. Send that request to the same contact address and I will do it.
